How much is shipping?
We ship all orders with Swiss Post directly from Switzerland.
Shipping costs
- Standard parcel shipping (Switzerland): CHF 7.90
- Vouchers (letter post): CHF 1.10
- International: Shipping costs are automatically calculated and displayed at checkout

How quickly will I receive my order?
Orders are generally dispatched within 1–3 business days.
International delivery times may vary depending on the destination.
How can I return an item?
For reasons of hygiene and safety, opened tea packaging or food items cannot be returned.
Unopened tea products can be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided they are in perfect, unused condition and in their original, sealed packaging.

Can I also pick up my order?
Of course! UMAMI is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Is a reservation required?
Not always. Reservations are only required for Afternoon Tea and the Z'Morge Etagère. For all other visits, you are welcome to drop by without a prior reservation. We do recommend making a reservation on weekends.
Do I need to reserve scones in advance?
No reservation is required for scones.
Do you offer afternoon tea?
Yes. We offer two exquisite afternoon tea experiences:
Afternoon Tea Royal – a selection of savory and sweet bites, warm scones, and three selected tea varieties.
Afternoon Tea Imperial – our signature afternoon tea, complemented by 1 dl of Prosecco.
Do you offer gluten-free cakes?
Yes. We always offer at least one gluten-free cake.
Should you have any special requests, please let us know – we are happy to prepare a cake tailored to your needs.
Do you offer vegan options?
Upon request, we are happy to prepare vegan options for you.
If you follow a vegan diet, please contact us in advance so that we can prepare everything carefully.
Is it possible to host a baby shower at UMAMI?
Yes. We are happy to host baby showers at our teahouse. Please contact us.
Are children allowed to visit UMAMI?
Yes, children are very welcome at UMAMI. We have a lovely selection of toys and books.
Are dogs allowed?
We ask for your understanding that dogs are not permitted in the teahouse. This is due to Swiss food safety regulations, as all of our teas are sold loose.
Do you host weddings or private parties?
Yes. We are pleased to host intimate weddings, celebrations, and private gatherings on our premises.
Do you host corporate events?
Yes – we offer elegant spaces for corporate meetings, small business events, and team gatherings.
